FORTY ONE MADISON ANNOUNCES LINE UP FOR FALL 2007
NEW YORK TABLETOP SHOW® OCTOBER 27 - 31

New York, NY ---For the first time in nearly 30 years, lobby settings will be created by four Forty One Madison tenants, announced Carole Dixon, Sr. VP, Director. Waterford Wedgwood, the parent company of Royal Doulton and Rosenthal, will each participate with a display during the Fall New York Tabletop Market.

Noting Wedgwood was an original tenant, Ms. Dixon remarked: “For nearly 60 Tabletop Markets, we have worked with every major magazine in the shelter, design, bridal and epicurean categories. I felt it was time to rethink the format, particularly in light of the dramatic shifts in the retail world. Combined, the four companies are a powerhouse in the marketplace with each offering distinctive brands and prestigious designers. I think the change in the point of view from the manufacturer’s side will give new energy and inspiration to the lobby settings.”

Tricia Foley, Wedgwood USA President explained each division will introduce and highlight products from their design roster. “From Wedgwood we will showcase new patters from Vera Wang. Royal Doulton’s launch from Monique L’huillier will play on her strength as a ready-to-wear and bridal gown designer with a soft warm neutral color palette. Rosenthal’s display will feature a bold black and white theme from Versace and Waterford will launch a new Michael Aram collection replete with wonderful gifts.”

The building’s breakfast seminar will be co-hosted with Conde Nast Bridal Media on Monday, October 29th beginning at 8:00 AM. Titled “The American Wedding Study: Bridal Redefined,” keynote speaker Katherine Rizzuto, Publisher of Brides, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride and Your Prom magazines, will reveal the results of a major research study conducted last summer in an
online survey of engaged women.

In discussing the seminar, Ms. Dixon noted that over the years Forty One Madison has a long history of presenting forums that focus on the bridal marketplace and its impact on the tableware industry. “Over the years we have heard how brides and the bridal market have evolved. We have seen brides and grooms grow older, their incomes become dual, their work and shopping habits altered through technology, and their lifestyles and values change. We are delighted Katherine will be sharing valuable new insights to arm our industry with the latest information everyone needs to know to reach today’s brides.”

Commissioned by the Conde Nast Bridal Media Division which includes Brides, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride and Your Prom magazines and online home Brides.com, “The American Wedding Study: Bridal Redefined” was developed in conjunction with WSL Strategic Retail and fielded by Global Strategy Group. Ms. Rizzuto noted, “The results of our ‘American Wedding Study 2007’ will enlighten both retailers and manufacturers about some of the ever-changing shifts in the marketplace. Specifically, the information we’ll share at the seminar will quantify how women’s behavior and mindset change as a result of her engagement.”

Reservations for the breakfast and seminar are requested at: 212-686-1203 or by email.

Bridal Guide magazine’s Caffe Italia will return with a “Southern Comfort” theme offering their delicious specialties of cappuccino and espresso plus regional southern fare including salmon croquettes, southern fried apples and biscuits. The Caffe will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Monday from 12 noon to 4:00 PM on Level A.

The Buyer’s Lounge on Level A is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with complimentary coat and luggage checking, restrooms, phones and internet access. A well stocked media wall offers complimentary issues of major trade and consumer magazines.
